Nice bar

Fits great on my shoulders and back. Eliminates cervical and shoulder pain. The curve of the bar doesn't fit my rogue rack J cups so well, but sandwich J cups will fix that once BoS releases the 3x3. The longer handles and chains are useless? I just used the short ones. It's a keeper.

Overall a great Bar, some quality control issues

It is a quality SSB that is comfortable and has a nice camber to it, giving a great weight distribution and feel. My only real issue was with an oversight in quality control. Where the handle screws into the barbell is essentially just a welded-on nut. That welding process left some slag in the threads that was missed and it prevented me from screwing in the handle. I also managed to damage the threads on one of the handles trying to screw it in. Fortunately, I had the correct tap and die available to fix the issue myself so it's at least taken care of. I would recommend being careful putting your bar together for the first time to ensure your threads aren't messed up too. A lot of people don't have that large of a tap and die just laying around to use.

Most Have Specialty Bar

I was iffy to purchased this particular bar. Mainly due to its pricing. I never purchased any bar for such a price, but reviewing for a week, I was convinced. I got to say, it was worth every penny. It's a solid bar overall. The heaviness of it gives me a piece of mind that it is a durable SSB. The puddings are thick and comfortable on the neck and shoulder. The shoulder pads are in perfect distance from each other. It has great balance when squatting. I love the fact that it forces you to properly squat by keeping your back straight and you could feel good quads working out being focused. Take it from me, I have chronic lower back pain do to multiple life threatening car accidents, including random occurrence with sciatic and a pinched nerve. With that being did, close to 10 years, I have not squat or deadlift. I only did leg press, leg extension, and barely any lounges. With Bells Of Steel SSB, I am able to squat properly and do As to the grass and Lunges with barely any discomfort. I truly recommend this bar to anyone who wants to do Squats safely and properly. As always, a very big thank you to BELLS OF STEEL [BOS] Team and their Team on Social media.

  • My Fitness Goal Is: Fitness goal for me is to continue squatting and regain my quads and obviously, increase leg strength.

I've been missing out all these years...

I was interested in this bar mainly because of some shoulder issues from being beaten up over years of lifting. I must say, this bar is something else! Aside from the very cool optional handles, the weight distribution with the curved ends coupled with having my hands in front of me, I'm re-learning how to lift all over again but in a good way! I'm able to keep my torso more vertical rather than leaning forward. Leaning forward, especially with fatigue, can quickly turn into a back lift versus leg lift. It now feels like I'm truly squatting correctly and with my hands and shoulders being taken out of the lift I feel the weight more where I believe it should be felt. The padding is spot on and I can allow the bar to "roll" back on my traps as my hands can keep the bar from rolling too far back with little to no effort, but this is very important and it reduces pressure and fatigue across the back of my neck (caused by the pads).
